Trip Introduction

The Upper Mustang Jeep Safari is a specially designed adventure for travelers who have limited time yet wish to explore the region without engaging in lengthy treks through dusty trails. The northwest frontier of Upper Mustang, bordering Tibet, boasts ancient caves, historic monasteries, and archaeological sites that rank among the top tourist destinations in the world. This region once served as a sanctuary for Khampa guerrillas, who sought shelter against China’s control over Tibet. This Himalayan adventure offers an extraordinary journey from the arid, Tibet-influenced mountain desert of Mustang to the lush sub-tropical wilderness within a few days. It promises excitement and exhilaration.
