Nyima Samdup Gurung comes from a remote place called Deng, TsumNubri, Gorkha . Initially, he started his career as a teacher at Samagaun where he taught for 3 years but after the massive earthquake of 2015 in Nepal, he started to work as a volunteer for different organizations including Initiating Nepal Kids (INK). As a volunteer, he was very fortunate to explore many destinations of Nepal. After that, his passion for mountains inspired him to be a Trekking guide. Being a local of Gorkha district, he is an expert guide for Manaslu. Besides that, he has lead groups to Annapurna circuit, Ghorepani poonhill, Lower Mustang, Tsum valley, Lantang and Everest. He can speak English, Nepali, Tibetan, Gurung and other local languages. He has also taken training like trekking guide, basic rock climbing, basic mountain rescue and wilderness first aid training.
